Our Beliefs

Fountain of Life teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father, creator and preserver of all that exists; the Son, Jesus Christ, who became human to live life perfectly, to suffer and die for the sins of all and to rise again in ultimate victory over sin, death, hell, and the power of Satan in our lives; the Holy Spirit, who creates and sustains faith through God's Word and Sacraments. The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God.

Being Christians of the Lutheran Church we are identified by the hallmarks of our faith: Grace alone, Scripture alone, Faith alone.

Grace alone

God loves all the people of the world, even though we are sinful, rebel against Him, and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly through His perfect life, sacrificial death on the cross, and victory on the third day by rising again from the dead.

Scripture alone

The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for our faith and life.

Faith alone

By His suffering, death and resurrection as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and victorious life now and forever. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that He offers. The Holy Spirit creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
