Our History

Fountain of Life Lutheran Church was born out a vision shared by a very small group of highly dedicated believers. On August 11, 1965, that shared vision was brought to reality by the grace of God. From the beginning God has poured out His blessings upon "the Fountain" and has carried us from where we began to where we stand today; celebrating the 40th Anniversary of this dynamic family of God! In that time our Lord has made us a "Fountain of Life" (Ps. 36:9) from which "Living Water" (Jn. 4:1-26) flows to us and through us to the world around us.

He has brought to us 8 great men of God to fill the Pastoral Office in that time and has blessed us with wonderful support staff along the way.

He's moved us as He grew us! From Mountain Street, to Clifton Street, to Forest Drive, to Hopkins Road, God has blessed us on our way!

  • He's enabled mission and ministry that changes lives by connecting people to Jesus!
  • Alive, celebrative, victorious worship has been enhanced by an awe inspiring music ministry.
  • The People of God have gathered around the Word of God throughout our history.
  • An excellent Pre-School Ministry was begun in the fall of 1991 and continues to enjoy an excellent reputation in our community today.
  • Outreach to the community through Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Seniors Group, Men's Group, and Youth Ministry have set the stage for impacting lives for Christ.
  • Youth and Family Ministry have been hall-marks of Fountain of Life.

Fountain of Life Lutheran ChurchWe rejoice in who Fountain of Life has always been and we thank our God for the road we've traveled. Many, many souls have been saved, and those saved have been strengthened and equipped for living out the victory He's bought for us!

We are also filled with anticipation and joy over who Fountain of Life will be as we look forward! Faithful to whom we've always been; rejoicing over where we stand today; excited about the road yet to be traveled; that's who we are! God has an amazing journey in store for all those who come to the Fountain! Come to the Fountain (Rev. 22:17) and receive the Water of Life for your journey home!
